Valpoi: A Karnataka-registered goods carrier was gutted in a fire that broke out in the early hours at Chorla Ghat, causing extensive damage to the vehicle.
Personnel from the Fire and Emergency Services, Valpoi, rushed to the spot soon after receiving information and swiftly brought the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading further.
Although no injuries were reported in the incident, the goods carrier was severely damaged, with losses estimated at around ₹5 lakh.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and authorities have initiated an inquiry to determine the circumstances that led to the incident.
