PANAJI: Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant have extended warm greetings to the people of Goa on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, wishing peace, harmony, and prosperity.
In his message, the Governor said Eid-ul-Fitr marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan, a period devoted to prayer, reflection, compassion, and self-discipline. He described the festival as a celebration of faith, gratitude, and the spirit of sharing and caring, while recalling the teachings of Prophet Mohammed that emphasise peace, compassion, and unity among all sections of society.
“May this blessed occasion strengthen the bonds of harmony, brotherhood, and unity among all communities and bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to everyone. Eid Mubarak,” the Governor stated.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, in his message, extended greetings especially to the Muslim community and noted that Eid signifies the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer, and charity. He urged people to uphold the values of kindness, unity, and mutual respect, wishing everyone “Eid Mubarak.”
