PANAJI: Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant extends his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the State, especially Muslim brethren on the occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha or Eid-ul-Adha.
This spirit of sacrifice is remembered by helping needy people, propagating the message of forgiveness and charity. May the noble essence of Id-ul-Zuha enrich our lives with harmony and strengthen brotherhood in our State & country, CM said in his greetings.
Governor of Goa, Shri. P. S. Sreedharan Pillai extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of Goa, the Muslim brethren in particular on the occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha.
In his message the Governor said, “Id-ul-Zuha” (Bakri-Id) is celebrated in the spirit of sacrifice and benevolence with great fervour and gaiety in India and the world. This festival is also called as the “Feast of sacrifice”.
Governor further said that Goa is blessed with a diverse population wherein every festival is celebrated with equal passion. This is a very appropriate occasion for us to remember that all religions preach the universal values of love, peace and brotherhood.
On this holy and pious occasion, let us all renew our pledge to live together in peace, amity, friendship and mutual understanding. May the celebrations of Id-Ul-Zuha (Bakri-Id) this year bring greater peace, happiness and unity among the people, he concluded.
