PANAJI: Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju on Tuesday distributed financial assistance to over 200 dialysis and cancer patients at Lok Bhavan, Panaji. The aid was provided from the discretionary funds of the Governor.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary to the Governor Shri Arjun Mohan, IAS, said that the initiative was started by former Governor Shri P.S. Sreedharan Pillai and is being continued by the present Governor to support patients undergoing critical treatment.
The financial assistance aims to ease the burden of medical expenses for patients suffering from dialysis-related ailments and cancer.
