Panaji: Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai celebrated the achievements of NCC Cadets from the Karnataka and Goa Directorate for Outstanding Performance at Republic Day Camp 2025.
This event highlighted the cadets’ remarkable performance, which culminated in securing the prestigious Prime Minister’s Banner for 2024-25. The Governor emphasized the historical bravery of India’s military and its ongoing role in safeguarding national sovereignty.
At the felicitation ceremony, Governor Pillai commended the NCC for fostering disciplined, motivated, and leadership-driven youth.
He noted, “The NCC aims to create a group of organized, trained, and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life.” Cadets from Goa, including PO Cadet Tuhin Saha from Shree Damodar College, PO Cadet Shriditya Sawant from GS Amonkar Vidya Mandir, and SUO Vedant Chandekar from St Xavier’s College, were honored for their participation in the Republic Day parade. Certificates were presented to these cadets by the Governor, recognizing their contributions.
Earlier, S.B. Arun Kumar, Deputy Director General, welcomed guests and announced that the NCC Directorate Karnataka and Goa had won the Prime Minister’s Banner for the year 2024-25. This achievement underscores the dedication and excellence of the cadets and the directorate.
