Porvorim MLA ROhan Khaunte on Tuesday said that the Governo’s transfer is a warning to everyone who opposing the autocratic CM Dr Pramod Sawant.
“Again, Goa CM’s autocratic nature & political pettiness has taken from Goa it’s only hope-Governor Satyapal Malik. Any opposition is considered a challenge to his autocracy & even constructive opposition which forms the basis of Democracy & Good Governance is being trampled upon,” Khaunte said in his social media post.
He added, “This is also a warning to everyone who opposes the CMs autocratic methodology and Democracy is being replaced with Autocracy in Goa. I wish Hon’ble Governor Satyapal Malik ji best of luck for his service to Meghalaya and thank him for his contribution to Goa,” Khaunte said.
Khaunte stated that the Governor took tough decisions, was vocal against BJP’s irrational actions and critiqued incompetence of the govt at handling coronavirus cases in Goa.
“Importantly, he spoke in the favour of Goans. It was only a matter of days, this was waiting to happen,” he said.
