BICHOLIM: While opposing the mining expansion project at Amona and Navelim village in Bicholim taluka locals have called upon the villagers to be present in large number during the public hearing.
It may be stated that the public hearing on the project willl be held near Vividha ground on 14th March and at Amona GPS on 21st March.
Addressing a press conference at Bicholim Pravin Fadte from Amona and Viraj Naik from Navelim informed reporters that the present state government authorities are hand in glove with the mining authorities as they have not taken any serious steps to create required awareness about the public hearing to be held as it is in the interest of public and not the mining company or the government.
He added that last date for online registration for the villagers from Navelim village panchayat area and other surrounding villages is 5th march, while, that for the villagers of Amona it is 12th march.
He told that for online registration people can enroll their names on goapublichearing@gmail.com while, those who cannot make online registration can post the letters by putting required details.
