Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Khandola won the Inter Collegiate Tennikoit Championship for men organized by Goa University at Silver Jubilee hall, University Campus, Taleigao Plateau held on 27th & 28th September, 2022.
Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Khandola defeated Shree Mallikarjun & Shri. Chetan Manju Desai College, Canacona 2-0 in the finals.
First singles Deepak Naik of Government College, Khandola defeated Adarsh Gaonkar of Shree Mallikarjun College 20-22, 21-10 and 21-17. In second singles, Tejas Palkar of Government College, Khndola defeated Ratnesh Gaonkar of Shree Mallikarjun College 11-21, 21-15 and 21-15.
Mrs Betty D’Silva, College Director of Physical Education and Sports, G.V. M’s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce and Economics, Ponda was the chief Guest for the presentation ceremony. She presented trophies and medals to the winners and runners ups.
Earlier in the semis finals Government College, Khandola defeated S.S. Dempo College 2-0 and Shree Mallikarjun College defeated Sridora Caculo College, Mapusa 2-0. In total 31 teams participated in the two days Tennikoit Championship.
