PANAJI: Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Quepem won both the Men and Women Cross Country Championship 2023-24, organized by Goa University at Goa University Campus, Taliegao on 19th August, 2023.
Govt. College, Quepem finished with 26 points and 20 points in men and women section respectively.
MES’s Vasant Joshi College of Arts and Commerce, Zuarinagar claimed second position with 70 points and Don Bosco College, Panjim finished third with 79 points in men section.
Whereas, in the women section Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim came second with 37 points and Shree Mallikarjun & Shri. Chetan Manju Desai College, Canacona finished third with 41 points.
The event involved a 10 Km run, which was flagged off by Dr. Francis Lobo, College Director of Physical
Education and Sports, Rosary College, Navelim and Dr Rajan Mathew, College Director of Physical Education and Sports, Govt. College, Quepem respectively in men and women section.

1st: Ayan Soares (44:05.00) of Rosary College, Navelim; 2nd Siya Naik (46:20.00) of Govt. College, Quepem; 3rd Ankita Gaunkar (46:20.00) of Govt. College, Quepem
Chief Guest for the presentation ceremony Dr Rajan Mathew, College Director of Physical Education and Sports, Govt. College, Quepem along with Mr. Balachandra Jadar, Asst. Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa University graced the occasion and presented trophies and medals to the winners.
