PANAJI: Minister for Information & Technology, Electronics & Communications Rohan Khaunte said that state government is committed to provide infrastructure for creating a model ecosystem for the IT sector which will cater to the needs of IT businesses of today’s time and bring back the talent to Goa who had left the State for better employment avenues.
“Government ommitted to provide infrastructure for creating a model ecosystem for the IT sector which will cater to the needs of IT businesses of today’s time and bring back the talent to Goa who had left the State for better employment avenues,” said Khaunte
He further appealed to the students to contribute towards making Goa as creative capital and developing the State into an IT ecosystem.
“Government has implemented Start Up Policy as well as IT Policy and also extended financial support to youngsters for transforming their innovative ideas into business.
Khaunte further informed that, the Government is intending to launch `HarGhar Fiber` Scheme wherein every remote village will have high speed Internet connectivity.
“This scheme will be significant in enhancing the rural economy and generating new business ideas in the IT Sector,” the Minister added.
Chairman, Info Tech Corporation Dr. Chandrakant Shetye stressed upon the principles of discipline and hard work required to build a better career in one’s life. Students have the potential to change the picture of the IT Sector in the State. Students should make best use of equipment and infrastructure provided by the Government and bring the laurels to the State.
