PANAJI: The Government has constituted an Information Technology Advisory Council for the promotion of Startup and IT Industries in the State, with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant as its Chairperson and Minister for IT, Shri Rohan Khaunte as co-Chairperson.
The IT Advisory Council shall advise the State on measures needed to build a strong Startup and IT ecosystem, which would help to drive sustainable economic growth and generate large-scale employment opportunities.
The other members include Secretary (IT), Co-founder and Chairman, Aarin Capital, Shri Mohandas Pai; Chairman, Goa Public Service Commission,. Jose Manuel Noronha; Chairman, Dempo Group of Companies, Shrinivas Dempo; President and C.O, Visteon Corporation, Sachin Lawande; Director and Principal Consultant, Evolve IT Strategies, Ryan Carvalho; Executive Director – Equities, PINC Research, Sandeep Shenoy; Prof. Rakesh Shrivastava from Goa Institute of Management; Prof. Bharat Deshpande from BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus, Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Goa, Dr. Sharad Sinha, Associate Professor, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa, Dr. Damodar Reddy Edla, Managing Director, M/s Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd.
The Member Secretary of the Council will be Director, Department of Information Technology.
