PORVORIM: Secretary (Co-operation) Yatindra Maralkar, IAS, convened a joint meeting with various line departments at the Secretariat in Porvorim to chart out collaborative strategies for strengthening the cooperative sector in the State.
The discussion brought together officials from the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Goa Biodiversity Board, Rural Development Agency, Directorate of Panchayats, Directorate of Municipal Administration, Directorate of Handicrafts, Textile and Coir, Directorate of Fisheries, along with representatives of Sahakar Bharathi.
The meeting focused on harnessing cross-departmental support to expand the scope of cooperative initiatives across sectors, aiming to enhance rural livelihoods and community-driven economic growth in Goa.
