PANAJI: Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao slammed the state government over the spate of murders in Goa, accusing it of failing to ensure citizens’ safety.
“Yesterday, a tenant was murdered in Morjim; today, two men were found murdered in Saligao. While the government is busy with manipulations, collections, and blaming the opposition, people’s safety is being ignored,” Alemao said.
He alleged that criminals in Goa “have no fear of the police” as they are “hand in glove with those in power and executing their ‘supari files’.” Alemao said the rising crime rate reflects the BJP government’s failure to maintain law and order
