PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today said that the state Government has taken adequate steps and has prepared to deal with the third wave of covid19 pandemic.
Speaking as Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony where in 100 new Beds fully equipped medical infrastructure, set up at new super speciality block of Goa Medical College and Hospital, the Chief Minister lauded the efforts of Corporates in supplementing the efforts of the State Government in dealing with ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic crisis in the State.
He said, many Corporates have helped Goa and across the country and Vedanta is one among them.
The Chief Minister further informed that Vedanta has spent about 10 crores to fight against coronavirus which has claimed many precious and ruined the lives of several people as well due to the infection. He said apart Rs. 10 crores Vedanta has also supplied 3 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) on a daily basis till date.
The Chief Minister also said that the State Government has constituted a task force and State Executive Committee to deal with the third wave of Covid19.
Health Minister, Vishwajit Rane in his address said that nowadays everybody is talking about the possibility about the third wave and a lot of people are also informed about the children getting infected due to Coronavirus.
Taking this into account the Government has set up a new Super Specialty Block at GMC Series of meetings are also being held to discuss the measures to be adopted for the preparedness of the third wave, he added
