PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today said that his government has taken up various initiatives for all round development of students including implementation of NEP 2020.
CM interacted with students of 8th to 10th Standard during Career Guidance program under the Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swayampurna Goa initiative.
“Government of Goa has taken up various initiatives for all round development of students including implementation of the NEP 2020,” said Sawant
He further said that the collaborative effort of the Govt, Teachers, Students and Parents shall help youth to choose right career path and build bright and successful future.
Sawant suggested students shift their focus from traditional courses and explore alternative career options.
“Only ten per cent of parents will have the knowledge of career options for their kids, while 90 per cent of parents do not have the knowledge about the careers their children can take up, and this is a fact,” said Sawant.
He further said that BA, BCom, and BSc are not the only options. There are a lot of opportunities in defence, civil services etc,” Sawant added.
