CANACONA: Elections are being held on February 9 to elect new Executive Committees for 10 out of 11 registered temples in Canacona taluka as per the Mahajan Act.
The issue of Shri Lakhaneshwar Temple in Mudkud Agonda is in the court of law and is sub-judice. Therefore, except for this Shri Lakhneshwar temple, the Canaocna Mamledar’s office has made elaborate preparations for the smooth conduct of the elections of all the other 10 temples, informed Mamlatdar Manoj Korgaonkar to the scribes.
The temples to go for elections on 9th (Sunday) in Canacona taluka, are Shri Keshav Devalaya at Loliem, Shri Damodar Devalaya, Loliem, Shri Nirakar Devalaya at Maxem, Shri Parshuram Panchaigram Devalaya at Painguinim, Shri Mallikarjuna Devalaya at Shresthal, Shri Mallikarjuna Devalaya at Gaondongrim and Shri Mallikarjun Devalaya at Khotigao, Shri Gopalkrishna Mandir at Mokhard, Shri Laxminarayan Devalaya at Khola, and Shri Siddhapurush Garwai Purush Devalaya.-END
