The Opposition MLAs – Sudin Dhavalikar and Vijai Sardesai have demanded that the one-day monsoon session should only discuss the three issue of pandemic, environment destruction and the financial condition of the State.
Speaking to media, after the Business Advisory Committee meeting at the Secretariat, Dhavalikar said that the government must take just four months vote on account on budget.
“The entire budget presented in February has gone for toss with the COVID19 pandemic and hence we have told the government to take four month Vote on Account and full Budget be passed in December 2020,” he said.
Goa Forward President Vijai Sardesai said that the Pramod Sawant-led government is out to murder the democracy in the State.
He said the government wanted to carry out three weeks business in just one day, which they have opposed.
“They wanted to pass five bills and nine ordinances in just one day when the situation of pandemic, State financial condition and environment degradation needs to be discussed on priority,” he said.
