The government has refuted reports of poor quality food being served to the COVID patients in COVID hospital as well as care centres saying utmost care is being taken about the food and hygiene.
A government release says the news-reports covered by various print media dailies in Goa, pertaining to the poor food quality at Covid Care Centres in the State.
“The views and opinion expressed are purely un-substantiated and un-called for in these times of pandemic. The state administration is working relentlessly in the fight against this global pandemic. The doctors, para-medical staff and all the frontline workers are putting their best effort in these times,” the release said.
The release says the Covid Hospital and Covid Centres are adhering to the safety and hygiene standards.
“The Covid-19 positive patients are provided with regular medication as well as healthy and hygienic food. The administration is working proactively to achieve and ensure a high recovery rate by way of its efforts in this regard,” the government says.
The release appeals to the public not to believe in such false and baseless allegations. “We assure the people of Goa that there is no shortage of medicines and/or food supply at Covid Care Centres or otherwise. We are committed to win in the fight against this pandemic, and we are working with the spirit of #GoaFightsCovid19,” it says.
