PANAJI: The Town and Country Planning Department has issued a notification rescinding a previously approved zone change proposal concerning a plot in Sankhali.
According to the notification issued by the Office of the Chief Town Planner (Planning), the department had received applications under sub-section (1) of Section 39A of the Goa Town and Country Planning Act, 1974, for change of zone in the Regional Plan for Goa 2021.
The proposal, listed at Serial No. 08, had earlier been notified and published in the Official Gazette in terms of the Goa Town and Country Planning (Change of Zone of Land in the Regional Plan or the Outline Development Plan) Rules, 2024.
However, the Government, through a note dated March 25, 2026, directed that the decision of the TCP Board taken under sub-rule (1) of Rule 4 be rescinded.
Accordingly, the case at Serial No. 08, published in Official Gazette Series III No. 51 dated March 20, 2026, now stands rescinded.
The notification was issued by Chief Town Planner (Planning) and Ex-officio Joint Secretary Vertika Dagur.
