Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte on Wednesday alleged that the government is now targetting people close to him to slow him down.
“It seems that my voice on behalf of Goans is hitting the right spots, affecting the high and mighty and so to slow me down, they’re now targeting innocent people close to me,” Khaunte wrote on social media.
He further said that sometime back they (the government) did the same to put him down by arresting me on false accusations.
“Such acts have only strengthened my resolve and I stand by my friends and people close to me. Unlike others, I do not disown people close to me when in trouble because I keep Relationships and Politics separate!,” he wrote.
He further went on say that he keeps getting stronger despite this “With every effort to put down my voice, I become stronger because I have the support of Goans for whom I have always raised my voice and no evil force on earth, however autocratic, can put down the voice of the people!,” he added.
