The Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that government will soon issue new Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) for the hotels, making it mandatory for them to designate one room for the purpose of isolation, in case any of their guest tests Covid-19 positive.
Speaking to reporters, Rane also stressed on the need to increase testing to maintain 2000 tests per day.
“We need to work to ensure further decline in number of new Covid-19 positive cases,” he said.
He said that the family members & close contacts of people who turn positive will be tested on priority.
Rane has added that Covid-19 cases and mortality have decreased due to consistent monitoring of patients in Home Isolation.
