PANAJI: The President of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, Amit Patkar has written to the Home Minister of Karnataka, G. Parameshwara, seeking immediate action to arrest Suleman Siddique Khan, a wanted fugitive who escaped from Goa Crime Branch custody and is reportedly hiding in Hubli.
In the letter, the Goa Congress President highlighted the grave security lapse and expressed concern over the failure of the Goa Crime Branch to prevent the escape of such a high-profile individual.
It was emphasized that Suleman Siddique Khan’s apprehension is critical to ensuring justice and arresting the accused who is involved in land grabbing racket in Goa.
The Congress Party has condemned the inefficiency of the Goa Police under the BJP-led government, holding them accountable for their inability to prevent such an incident.
The party also demanded that the Goa government ensure better coordination with Karnataka authorities to facilitate the fugitive’s swift arrest.
The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee remains committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice is served.
