PANJIM: As part of the Nationwide program of All India Congress Committee, its Goa unit, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee has decided to hold demonstration at Cabo Raj Nivas, Dona Paula Tomorrow, Thursday 30th July,2020 at 4.00 p.m. to condemn the anti democratic and anti Constitutional acts of BJP Government under the leadership of Narendra Modi of toppling of elected Governments in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa and now targeting Rajasthan informed GPCC General Secretary and incharge of this protest Angelo Fernandes.
Fernandes said we have taken all precautions to maintain distancing, wearing of Masks etc while registering our protest against attitude of central Government to destroy Democratic institutions. He said nowhere in India, the Governor has refused to call Legislative Assembly when the cabinet by resolution requested the government three times. He said everyone knows how BJP has imposed its Government on people of Goa and Manipur despite people voting Congress to form the Government in 2017.
Fernandez further said our delegation will also submit memorandum to President of India through Governor of Goa. He said Party president Girish Chodankar, CLP leader Digambar Kamat, AICC General Secretary Luisinho Faleiro, MP Francisco Sardinha along with other MLAs, Frontals, District and Block Committees, party office bearers will participate the protest.
