PANAJI: Two competitive matches were played on the eleventh day of the Goa University Inter Collegiate Cricket Men’s Championship 2025 to 26 at the Goa University Ground, with Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law and Government College Borda registering important victories.
In the first match of the day, Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law from Margao defeated Agnel Institute of Technology and Design, Assagao by five wickets.
After winning the toss, GR Kare College opted to field first. Agnel Institute posted 123 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs. Soham Joshi top scored with a well compiled 47 from 35 deliveries, striking five boundaries and a six. With the ball, Kaushal Desai produced an impressive spell, claiming four wickets for 21 runs, while Aryan Dessai chipped in with two wickets for 13 runs.
Chasing 124 for victory, GR Kare College reached the target comfortably in 13.2 overs, finishing at 124 for 5. Chiranjai Dessai led the chase with a brisk 35 off 20 balls, while Vishwesh Devidas added a quick 26 from 15 deliveries. Rahul Rathod picked up two wickets for 33 runs for Agnel Institute. Chiranjai Dessai was recognised as the best batter of the match, while Kaushal Desai was named the best bowler.
In the second match, Government College Borda secured a narrow seven run victory over Saraswat Caculo College, Mapusa.
Batting first after winning the toss, Government College Borda posted 127 for 8 in 20 overs. Captain Bansil Pandya played a crucial innings of 66 from 52 balls, hitting seven boundaries and three sixes. Vardhan Prabhu Misquin provided valuable support with a quick 46 from 25 deliveries.
In reply, Saraswat Caculo College were bowled out for 120 in 18.5 overs. Vardhan Prabhu Misquin delivered a standout all round performance by taking four wickets for just 14 runs. Irfan Sheikh added three wickets, while Bansil Pandya also contributed with two wickets to help seal the win for Government College Borda.
