Mumbai: Carlos Pena rejoined FC Goa before the 2022-23 season as their Head Coach after being on their playing roster during the 2018-19 season.
With the onset of the new year, many prominent figures who are or have been a part of the Indian Super League (ISL) in the past have bestowed their thoughts to all the fans out there.
Former FC Goa Head Coach Carlos Pena took to his social media handle to extend his greetings to the fans for the new year and also shared his thoughts on being a part of the two different frameworks in a single calendar year.
After FC Goa parted ways with the Spanish linchpin in April this year, he joined Thai League 1 side Ratchaburi FC. Carlos Pena, who made his debut as a manager with FC Goa during the 2022-23 season, saw his team miss the playoffs as they finished seventh in the league table in his only season as their head coach.
On his Instagram post, Carlos Pena penned down the caption in an applauding fashion. The caption read, “2023 comes to an end. During this year, I have lived and worked in two countries and two different leagues (India and Thailand); with more than 50 players and two different coaching staffs. Great personal and professional development and growth; and very happy to do what I like and enjoy the most. Let’s look forward to 2024 with more energy and experience! Happy New Year to all!”
