VASCO: Mormugao Ship Agents Association (MSAA) organized their 8th Hard Tennis Cricket Tournament on 04th & 05th February at MPT Baina Ground under the leadership of MSAA President Moteus Nazareth and his Teammates.
Almost 14 Teams from the shipping fraternity in Goa and other states, including Mangalore Port, MPA, Custom, JSW, Adani, Vedanta, Fomento, CHA, MRH Transporters etc., participated in the two days tournament. The format of 6-8 overs from each side was kept for the tournament.
The Finals of the tournament were played between Group Delta Mangalore and Vedanta. The winning score of the final match was 45 runs, and Group Delta Mangalore won the match in 5 overs and by 8 wickets.
The Chief Guest for the tournament was G.P. Rai, Deputy Chairman, Mormugao Port Authority and Guest of Honour Jerome Clement Sr., Deputy Traffic Manager Mormugao Port Authority. Besides invitees were Raghoba Kotkar, Branch Manager Delta Group Goa, Dr Mangesh Patil, Port Health Officer Mormugao, Capt. Arun Kumar, Harbour Master MPA, Radhakant, South West Port Ltd and
Sandesh Kundaikar (MSAA Promoter) attended the function, and they all presented Trophies with Cash prizes.
