PANAJI: The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) has announced that Goa will host the world-famous dance drama RAM later this month, giving Goans a rare chance to witness one of India’s most celebrated cultural productions. The performances will be held at Ravindra Bhavan, Baina–Vasco on November 29 and at Kala Academy, Panjim on November 30, 2025.
GTDC Chairman Kedar J. Naik said Goa was privileged to host a production that has inspired audiences across generations. “Our focus is to bring distinguished cultural experiences to our people and create opportunities that enrich our artistic and social fabric,” he said.
GTDC Managing Director Kuldeep Arolkar added that the initiative reflects Goa Tourism’s commitment to promoting India’s cultural heritage. “Hosting a world-renowned production like RAM reaffirms our commitment to facilitating diverse and meaningful cultural engagements,” he stated.
Created by Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, one of India’s foremost cultural institutions, RAM is acclaimed globally for its powerful storytelling, refined choreography and artistic brilliance. The production has been staged for decades and witnessed by millions.
The hosting of the production comes amid a vibrant cultural season in the state, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Goa on November 28 to unveil a 77-foot statue of Lord Ram at the Shree Samsthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Mutt in Canacona. GTDC said the staging of RAM complements Goa’s wider cultural and spiritual engagements this month.
The event is being organised with the support of the Government of Goa, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte. Ravindra Bhavan, Vasco and Kala Academy, Panaji have extended venue support to ensure wider access to audiences.
Entry to the performances will be available through entry bands on a first-come, first-served basis.
GTDC and the Department of Tourism have invited the public to witness the grandeur of RAM as Goa strengthens its position as a hub for art, heritage and cultural exchange.
