PANAJI: Panaji Police has registered an FIR against an Ahmedabad for cheating Goa based casino to the tune of Rs 10 lakhs.
The accused has been identified Gopal Patel, a resident of Ahmedabad-Gujarat.
As per the police, accused pretended to be the Deputy Collector in Ahmedabad, and furthermore, using a false pretext, convinced the complainant to give him gaming chips so he could play with them in exchange for cash.
The accused then took the gaming chips, worth W/Rs. 10,000,000/-, and failed to return them.
