The soil from the auspicious Ram Rudreshwar temple at Harvalem Sankhali will be used for the foundation of the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya on August 5.
The announcement was made by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on his social media handle.
“It is a moment of proud privilege that the sacred soil from the auspicious Rudreshwar Temple – Harvalem, Sankhali Goa, will be used in the foundation of the #RamMandir at Ayodhya! I offered my prayers at the Rudreshwar Temple today.Jai Shree Ram!,” he wrote.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Ram Temple slated to be built in Ayodhya on August 5. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic and to ensure maximum social distancing at the programme, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra has decided that there will not be more than 200 people, including 150 invitees at the foundation stone laying ceremony.
