PANAJI: The Bombay High Court at Goa on Tuesday heard a petition seeking directions to the State government to remove the current Dean of Goa Dental College, who is continuing in office after retirement.
During the hearing, the State government informed the court that a fresh request submitted by the Dean for further extension is still under review. The government counsel pointed out that her present extension will conclude on March 31, and no decision has yet been taken on the new proposal.
The counsel also requested the court to take up the matter after March 31, stating that if the extension is not granted, the petition may no longer be necessary. Considering this submission, the High Court adjourned the case and fixed the next hearing for April 1.
