SADA: A Mega Health Camp organized at Murgao High School, Sada, received an overwhelming response as over 1,200 patients registered for free medical services, marking the highest turnout in Goa. The camp, inaugurated by Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar, featured 18 medical departments, including dental, dermatology, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, and more.
The event was attended by Dean of Goa Medical College, Dr. Shivanand Bandekar, along with senior health department officials. The initiative, spearheaded by Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane, aimed to bring quality medical services closer to the people.
Although Minister Vishwajeet Rane could not attend due to an unforeseen event, he addressed the gathering via MLA Sankalp Amonkar’s phone, reassuring locals of full government support for healthcare development in the constituency.
In his address, Rane referred to Amonkar as his “younger brother” and criticized previous ministers for neglecting the constituency. He pledged to establish a 20-bedded hospital and a dialysis center at Sada, assuring that Mormugao would witness significant progress in healthcare and urban development in the coming days.
The camp’s massive turnout reflected the growing demand for accessible healthcare, reinforcing the government’s commitment to improving medical facilities in the region.
