PANAJI: The Healthcare Iconic Fashion & Awards (HIFAA) 2025 concluded a spectacular two-day event at the Taj, Goa, merging healthcare, fashion, and the recognition of frontline workers.
The event saw the presence of dignitaries including Ajay Kumar Mishra, former Deputy Home Minister, and Subhash Phal Dessai, Goa’s Social Welfare Minister, both of whom lauded HIFAA for honouring healthcare professionals for their invaluable contribution to society.
A highlight of the event was 102-year-old freedom fighter and Padma awardee Dr. Libia Lobo, who received an award and later walked the ramp alongside doctors and models in Adhya Fashion creations, earning a standing ovation from the audience.
Bollywood playback singer Hema Sardesai was also felicitated for her social work and treated attendees to some of her popular songs.
Over the two days, panel discussions and live demonstrations covered diverse aspects of healthcare and wellness. Dr. Rajneesh Kant showcased chiropractic techniques, while wellness experts Dr. Santosh Pandey, Mickey Mehta, and Ali Irani shared exercise and lifestyle guidance. Dr. Rajnikant Mishra kept the sessions engaging with his humour.
The awards ceremony recognised doctors, nurses, ward boys, and ambulance drivers for their crucial role in the healthcare system. Nitu Joshi of Miam Charitable Trust received the Best NGO and Social Work Award for her efforts with tribal communities in Gadchiroli and Nagpur.
The event was anchored by actress Ekta Jain, with BIG FM Goa RJs Akash and Namrata covering the proceedings and interviewing awardees. The programme concluded with appreciation for the organising committee led by Dr. Rahul Bajpai (President), Dr. Biswajit Mondal (Founder), Hemanshu Mehta (Co-founder), and Dr. Santosh Pandey.
HIFAA 2025 underlined the spirit that healthcare is not just a profession but a service that deserves recognition, celebrating resilience, dedication, and community impact.
