PANAJI: Healthcare Workers Geeta Salgaonkar and Prashant Devidas have received the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award as a mark of recognition for their meritorious services.
“Hearty Congratulations to Goa’s Healthcare workers, Smt. Geeta Salgaonkar & Shri Prashant Devidas on receiving the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award, as a mark of recognition for their meritorious services,” said CM Sawant.
He further thanked Geeta and Prashant for their dedicated services to the State and the people, especially during the trying times of pandemic.
The President of India Ram Nath Kovind said that the unrelenting support provided by the nurses has helped us fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
“It is only because of their sustained efforts that we have achieved the distinction of vaccinating a sizeable portion of our population. The milestone of vaccinating one crore-plus people in a single day in India was possible only because of their dedication and untiring efforts,” said President on the occasion of the presentation of the National Florence Nightingale Awards to the Nursing Personnel at a virtual ceremony today (September 15, 2021).
