PANAJI: Finally, after 18 days of results, Goa gets a full-fledged government under the chief ministership of Dr Pramod Sawant.
In the first round of swearing-in, Sawant has left out the allies, who have extended support that includes Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party and three independents – Aleixo Reginald Lourenco Chandrakante Shetye and Anton Vaz.
A close look at the cabinet reveals that almost all nine ministers are crorepatis, with Atanasio Monseratte being the richest with Rs 48+ crore assets. Nilesh Cabral is the second richest with Rs 28+crore assets, followed by Vishwajit Rane Rs 23 + crore, Mauvin Godinho Rs 22+ crore and Rohan Khaunte Rs 21+ crore.
CM Pramod Sawant has assets of Rs 9 crore.
Govind Gaude is the last in the list with Rs 2 + crore assets only.
The cabinet has two postgraduates – CM Pramod Sawant and Ravi Naik and two graduates – Vishwajit Rane and Mauvin Godinho.
Three diploma holders – Nilesh Cabral, Rohan Khaunte and Govind Gaude, while two have just passed 12th standard – Atanasio Monseratte and Subash Shirodkar.
Four ministers in the cabinet have criminal cases registered against them – Atanasio Monseratte, Ravi Naik, Rohan Khaunte and Govind Gaude.
Atanasio Monseratte also leads in Criminal cases as he has three cases and nine serious IPC sections.
