The Main Curtorim police on Wednesday arrested history sheeter Anwar Sheikh at Khandola for threatening and assaulting a 25-year-old youth from Fatorda at Ramnagari-Nesai.
Anwar who was lodged at state central jail at Colvale was recently released on bail.
Sources said Anwar had assaulted a person at Ramnagari on Tuesday evening over petty issue,
A case vide Maina Curtorim PS Cr. No 140/2020 u/s 341,504,506 (ii),325,308 IPC was registered on the complaint of Ryan age 25 yrs. In the evening at around 6 pm near Ramanagari junction, Sao Jose De Areal, Salcete Goa, unknown accused person who was riding a motorcycle restrained the complainant by blocking the vehicle of the complainant and assaulted him and abused him with filthy languages. Further the accused threatened to kill the complainant and gave a fist blow with full force on the nose of the complainant intending to cause grievous injury.
Another accused Prajot Bhandari is also arrested in connection with same case.
