COLVA: A hit-and-run case has been registered after a scooter rider sustained injuries when an unknown vehicle allegedly rammed into his Access scooter near the NH-66 Flyover at Nuvem. The complaint was filed by Paresh Shirodkar, a resident of Nuvem and native of Sadashivgad, Karwar, who reported that the incident occurred around 8:55 am while he was travelling towards Margao.
According to the complaint, the unidentified driver was operating the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and fled the scene immediately after the collision, without stopping to provide medical assistance or informing the police. The impact caused bodily injuries to the complainant.
Colva Police have registered an offence and initiated further investigation, which is being carried out by HC Sameer Shet Marathe (4768).
