CHANDOR: A hit-and-run incident occurred late Monday night near the Chandor Club at approximately 11:25 p.m., when a car traveling from Curchorem struck a scooter and fled the scene without stopping.
Emergency services were immediately alerted, and a 108 ambulance quickly arrived at the site. The injured scooter rider was promptly transported to Margao Hospital for medical treatment.
Local police also responded swiftly and have initiated an investigation. Authorities are actively working to identify and locate the vehicle involved.
Residents in the area have called on officials to install surveillance cameras and enhance road safety measures to prevent future accidents.
