PANAJI: With Mumbai and Delhi imposing night curfew in wake of COVID-19 and to contain its spread, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane too has moved a proposal with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on the same.
“Spoke to the CM Pramod Sawantonimposing night curfew in the state on lines of the state of Delhi & Karnataka. The file is already in process. Strict SOPs is the need of the hour as Goa is a tourist state,” said Rane
He further said that he had received a letter from Ministry of Health toensure SOPs & protocols are laid down by each state based on the situation in the respective states. Goa being a tourism state, it is imperative to have strict SOPs in place, to sustain tourism activities in keeping with COVID-19 guidelines.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Thursday imposed a night curbs in the national capital in order to check the spread of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19). The restrictions have been imposed just ahead of New Year celebrations.
The curbs will be in place on December 31 and January 1 between 11 pm to 6 am, the DDMA said in its order, adding that not more than five people will be allowed to assemble at a public place and no new year celebrations, events or gatherings will be permitted post 11 pm.
