New Delhi: Hockey India has named an 18-member squad for the Hero Men’s Asia Cup 2025, to be held in Rajgir, Bihar from August 29 to September 7, which also serves as a qualifier for the 2026 FIH World Cup. Skipper Harmanpreet Singh will lead the side, with experienced names like Manpreet Singh, Hardik Singh, Mandeep Singh and Vivek Sagar Prasad providing balance across departments. Goalkeepers Krishan B Pathak and Suraj Karkera will handle duties at the back, while the forward line will be spearheaded by Mandeep Singh, Abhishek, Sukhjeet Singh, Shilanand Lakra and Dilpreet Singh. India, placed in Pool A with China, Japan and Kazakhstan, will open their campaign against China on August 29.
