New Delhi: Union Minister Piyush Goyal has described Budget 2026 as futuristic, holistic and fully aligned with the aspirations of a new and confident India. Speaking after the presentation of the fiscal plan, he said the budget reflects the hopes of the country’s youth and lays a strong foundation for long term economic transformation.
The minister stated that the budget covers every major sector of the economy and gives special importance to technology and infrastructure. According to him, these two pillars will drive India’s next phase of growth and create large scale employment opportunities. He added that the proposals are designed to prepare the nation for emerging global challenges while strengthening domestic capabilities.
Goyal emphasized that the budget is economically sound and fundamentally strong. He pointed out that farmers, animal husbandry and labour intensive industries have received a major boost through investment focused measures. The plan, he said, encourages value addition, innovation and job creation across rural and urban regions.
He further noted that the fiscal blueprint supports start ups and new age enterprises, ensuring that young entrepreneurs get access to resources and a better business environment. The minister expressed confidence that the measures announced would accelerate industrial expansion and improve India’s competitiveness in international markets.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also termed the budget human centric and reform driven. He said the proposals would energise the economy and open fresh opportunities for citizens, especially the youth. The Prime Minister described the budget as historic and a catalyst for achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047.
According to the Prime Minister, the budget brings present dreams closer to reality and strengthens the country’s future. He referred to the ongoing reform journey as a powerful movement that would gain new momentum from this fiscal plan. The initiatives, he said, would give talented young Indians the freedom to explore new horizons.
Both leaders underlined that the budget balances growth with fiscal discipline and focuses on inclusive development. With emphasis on investment, infrastructure and technology, the plan is expected to guide India toward sustained progress and a stronger position in the global economy.
