PONDA: Home voting for senior citizens aged 85 and above and persons with disabilities who opted for the facility has commenced for the Ponda bye-election 2026.
Polling teams are visiting residences to facilitate voting at the doorstep, ensuring a smooth, accessible and inclusive electoral process. The initiative aims to enable eligible voters to exercise their franchise without having to visit polling stations.
Election officials said the home voting process is being carried out as per guidelines to ensure transparency while encouraging greater participation among elderly voters and persons with disabilities. The authorities reiterated that every vote matters and urged eligible voters to make use of the facility.
