PANJIM: The Speak Up For Goa campaig launched by the Congress Party to raise the Voice of the Common Man about their grievances against the hiked power tariff bills received overwhelming response from all across the State. We hope that the BJP government will respond positively to the Voice of Goans and announce immediate relaxation in the power bills stated GPCC general secretary Amarnath Panjikar.
The one day Campaign which started at 11am today with the message of GPCC president Girish Chodankar and Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat with their Videos uploaded on various social media platforms received overwhelming response from the citizens of Goa from all across the state. The people appealed to the government to give relaxation I the power bills which will ultimately help them to get some relief during the testing times of Covid Pandemic claimed Amarnath Panjikar.
The BJP who always boasts about digital media and virtual rallies must watch the videos and listen to the appeals made by the Goans for waiver of power bills stated Amarnath Panjikar.
Almost 12,000 people tweeted on Twitter, few thousands on Facebook and Instagram and an equal number was shared on Watsapp claimed Amarnath Panjikar.
We hope that the government will atleast act now, failing which the congress party will be compelled to launch an agitation coming on the roads to fulfil the demand of the people of Goa. It may be recalled that GPCC had launched Talukawise protest, after its success party leaders along with office bearers marched to Office of Chief Electrical Engineer, Panjim and submitted memorandum to the chief minister with various relief measures to electricity consumers. In order to build up pressure GPCC had launched campaign on social media.
