MARGAO: Konkan Railway Police today has arrested Paul Fonseca at Thivim railway station for sexually abusing a minor.
The accused will be handed over to Colvale Police for further investigation.
As per information a call was received by the Konkan Railway Police at 3.00 a.m and team from the Konkan Railway visited the Thivim Railway station and rescued an 11 year old boy child from the clutches of an alleged paedophile.
Paul Fonseca is a resident of Thivim who has been preying on children from marginalized families by plying them with gifts, bike rides and luring them into his web of Child Sexual Abuse.
From the statement the child was counseled by Bailancho Ekvott and from the statement of the rescued child it appears that he has abused male younger sibling of the rescued child. The child also disclosed that has been doing the same with several other children.
He would woo children to his home and abuse them, by giving intoxicating drinks, showing them pornographic films and insisting that they see them to the end and do the same with him.
It is showing that he would keep children with him for days violating the Goa Children’s Act.
Threatening and coaxing them onto submission. How can we allow such activities by adults with children to go unpunished? The child is not aware whether he was taking photos of them in abuse situations.
The child also disclosed that if they refused or insisted on being reached back home he would assault them, and showed us a mark on his right ear lobe.
