CANACONA: Star Hoteliers of Canacona stating Congress leader and JanSena Warriors patron-in-Chief Janardhan Bhandari with his few colleagues and supporter is creating ruckus and law and order situation in hotels, by making baseless and non-existent issues, with his sole aim to extort money.
Addressing media one month old opened Cloud 9 Sarovar Premiere owner Amit Prabhu, presented before the media the CCTV footages on the day of the incident 12th December, when Bhandari alongwith 20-25 youths barged inside the hotel and how he misbehaved with the management and staff, besides showcasing whatsapp texts of the pasts showing Bhandari making demands of money.
Narrating the sequence of events on the day at cloud9 hotel, Prabhu also blamed Canacona police of being hand-in-glove with Bhandari and his team.“ when we saw the unlawful assembly of group of people is over-powering our security team, and anticipating law and order situation is going out of hand we called police, but police instead of repreminding the troublers at bay is seen pleading with Bhandari and others assuring them of solving their non-existing issues and baseless issues they were arguing on. Second time I called Canacona police who sent another team in an Ertiga car, but the troubles were not under control, then I was forced to call SP(South) Sunita Madam and lodged another complaint. As per her advice I first lodged a complaint at Canacona police, and later personally filed a complaint at South Goa Police Headquarters.’
Speaking further Amit alongwith his General manager(GM) showed the list with 56 names of Goan’s and particularly Canaconcars employed in his hotel and still employing as the demand comes as the hotel is just one month old. GM also mentioned the Taxi counter handled by a local man right from the locality, where they demand to give the taxi counter to their man. Why on 75% of the staff we are ready to employ 100% of local staff provided we get applications with CV’s. Bhandari shouting at the HR that she is not doing her job properly told her to resign and go for no reason, which was even accepted by her. A brother of a local councillor called our HR and threatened that by filing FIR against locals they will not allow them to operate.
Incidentally, finding in a similar situation and non-cooperation of Canacona police, The Lalit Golf and Spa Resorts General Manager also approached SP (South) Sunita for police protection.
Later Amit Prabhu showed a print of whatsapp text messages where Janardhan Bhandari making a demand for 25 lakhs of rupees saying he has expended during lok sabha elections, asking him to share the amount soon so as to settle some of his pending bills of Lok Sabha Elections expenditure. ‘ There are other demands also made by Janardhan Bhandari but i had not obliged to any as it was not possible when we ourselves are already under huge expenses to complete the project.’.
I am no longer in a situation to trust Canacona police, but SP Sunita madam was kind enough , because of whom the situation was brought out of control. Janardhan Bhandari’s demand is one but he is instigating youths raising different non-existing and non-tangible issues for his personnel gains.’, Prabhu.
