PONDA: A case of burglary has been reported in Manaswada, Kundaim, where unidentified miscreants broke into a residence and made away with gold ornaments and cash valued at over ₹4.6 lakh.
According to the complaint filed by Suchita Naik, a 38-year-old service professional residing at House No. 966/1, Manaswada, the theft occurred on June 9, 2025, sometime before 3:30 PM.
The unknown accused are suspected to have entered the house by breaking open the back door, after which they allegedly accessed a cupboard and stole gold ornaments worth approximately ₹4,50,000 along with cash amounting to ₹12,000.
The stolen items were reportedly kept in the complainant’s mother’s house, where the break-in took place.
Upon receiving the complaint, Kundaim Police registered an offence under Sections 331(3) and 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), vide Crime No. 22/2025.
Police have begun an investigation, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits.
Authorities are also examining possible CCTV footage and have appealed to the public for any information that could assist in the case.
