CURTORIM: A residential house was gutted in a fire that broke out at Panchbhat (Cargil), Maina Curtorim
The incident occurred at around 2.46 pm at the house owned by Satyavan Naik. On receiving the alert, personnel from the fire and emergency services rushed to the spot and immediately launched firefighting and rescue operations.
Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby houses and structures. However, the house suffered extensive damage.
Preliminary estimates place the property loss at around ₹15 lakh. One dog died in the fire, while another dog managed to escape. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
