FATORDA: Fatorda Police have registered a theft case against a house maid for allegedly stealing gold ornaments worth ₹2 lakh from her employer’s residence at Gogol, Fatorda.
According to police, complainant Priyanka Martins, a resident of Gogol, Fatorda, reported that between October 2024 and February 2025, the accused Mumtaz Shaikh, who was working as a house maid at her house, allegedly committed theft of gold ornaments from a table drawer.
The stolen items include one gold chain, two gold chains with ‘S’ pendants and three bracelets, collectively valued at approximately ₹2,00,000.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Sachin Patil of Fatorda Police Station.
