BICHOLIM: Bicholim Police have registered an Unnatural Death (UD) case after human skeletal remains were found at Dhatin, behind Govind Nagar, Sarvan, Bicholim.
According to police, at around 5.20 pm on January 11, Mrs Mangala Matonkar, a resident of Sarvan, Bicholim, approached the police station and reported that a human skull, bones and hair were lying at the said location, believed to be of an unknown person.
Following the information, police registered Bicholim Police Station UD No. 02/2026 under Section 194 of the BNSS and conducted a scene of occurrence panchanama at the spot.
Further investigation is currently being carried out by LPSI Sonali Harmalkar of Bicholim Police Station.
