PANAJI: A shocking discovery at the Patto footbridge has raised alarm after hundreds of condom boxes were found dumped in the area.
The abandoned stock, scattered across the site, has unsettled residents and commuters, sparking concerns over public health, waste management and accountability.
Locals questioned how such a large quantity of items landed at a busy public spot, terming the disposal both irresponsible and hazardous.
They urged authorities to investigate the source of the stock and take strict action against those responsible.
Officials from the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) and the health department are expected to intervene, as improper disposal of health-related materials poses risks to sanitation and the environment.
