Mumbai 30 October 2021: Hungama Play, a leading video on demand platform owned by Hungama Digital Media, today launched Meter Down, a new Hungama Original in Marathi and Hindi. A comedy drama about relationships that blossomed digitally in the age of social distancing, the show features superstars of the Marathi entertainment industry, Saorabh Choughule, Prarthana Behere, Parth Bhalerao, Rasika Sunil and Gayatri Datar in lead roles, along with Palak Gangele, Madhuri Desai and Suyash Tilak. Produced by Ganraj Associates and Amol Padave Films, the show is written and directed by Amol Padave.
An assistant to a famous Bollywood photographer, Sankarshan aka Sankudi (Saorabh Choughule) thinks he has everything going for him. Good looks, a cool job and a loving girlfriend. Actually, four loving girlfriends! First, there is the interior designer and rich, Neha (Madhuri Desai) who Sankudi loves for her money. Then, there is the gorgeous model and struggling actor, Pranali (Rasika Sunil) who Sankudi thinks he loves, but does he really? Because there is also the doctor, Manasi (Prarthana Behere) who Sankudi thinks he truly and deeply loves. However, if that is true, then why is he also having an affair with Sonia Bhabhi (Palak Gangele), a married woman who is out to fulfil her sinful desires with Sankudi! Social distancing and dependency on digital connections ensured that the paths of his multiple lovers never crossed with each other. But the unthinkable happens and his life turns into a chaotic, yet comedic mess when common friends bring a wild twist in the otherwise smooth life of Sankudi.
